Francis Fukuyama; "The Age Of Disruption" (p.228):
"...anger results from inadequate recognition..."
Brian Green; "The Elegant Universe" (dust jacket):
"It has been said that the act of exploration is not so much of seeking new landscapes but of fashioning new eyes".
(p.15): "...particle properties in string theory are the manifestation of one and the same physical feature: the resonant patterns of vibration - the music, so to speak - of fundamental loops of string".
Tool's "Aenima" powered along my beginning practising of the day.
Pat Mastelotto is currently setting up, helped by engineers Ken & Bill. Ken is playing Mike Keneally's new CD (see www.Keneally.com) in the studio. Trey has set up and left for New York to master his new album, and will be back on Sunday. Excitement: Trey gave me a hot-of-the-press copy of Rieflin, Fripp & Gunn's "Repercussions Of Angelic Behaviour".
The sky has been blue and sunny in Nashville. My left leg continues to suffer painful shafts of spasm, and I'm very tired without knowing quite why. Reading, moderate practising, e-mailing, even one important DGM e-letter to Japan, shouldn't leave me this beat.
